Audi’s A7 Four-Door Coupe And Convertible

It might be just us, but Audi’s lineup is expanding so quickly that we’re beginning to have trouble keeping up.

CAR has come up with some nifty renderings of Audi’s planned four-door A7 coupe and Convertible, which is slated to hit dealers in 2009. According to the magazine’s sources, a particularly innovated door arrangement is expected, leading them to believe that the automaker will somehow manage to fit four frameless doors to the car, while still meeting side-impact standards.

The hardtop is being seen as the Four Ring’s response to Mercedes-Benz’s high-profile CLS line. According to the UK publication, both variants will be based on Audi’s pending Q5 off-roader, with Audi’s dual-clutch S-Tronic and Quattro all-wheel drive as standard equipment.
