Opel Corsa OPC

Opel is breaking Detroit auto show's domination in the press line by releasing details of its new Corsa OPC. The rival to Renault Clio RS and the upcoming Peugeot 207GT gets a very aggressive body kit, Like most German sports cars, the chassis of Corsa OPC was tuned in their renowned Nurburgring ring. Modifications include retuned springs and dampers, thicker anti-roll bars up front, thicker torsion beam at the rear and 10mm reduction of ride height. Besides, the ESP has been retuned to intervene less, and can even be switched off. However, Opel did not mention any modifications to the steering or front suspension geometry, nor there is any limited slip differential. With so much torque going through the front wheels, how can it deal with torque steer? this is still a big question mark.

Features:
powerful bumpers with ventilation grooves
big tailgate spoiler
black diffusers
centrally-located triangular exhaust pipe
17-inch alloy wrapping with 215/45 rubbers, with options for 225 tires with 18-inch wheels
internally ventilated discs measuring 308mm front and 246mm rear

Specifications:
high-pressure turbocharged 1.6-liter engine
Max torque is 170 lbft, but that can be raised momentarily to 192 lbft via overboost
6-speed manual gearbox
140 mph top speed
0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds
